Fitness app/ Apple Watch calorie error

I was doing a rowing workout with a Concept2 & ERGDATA active on my watch. After a 20 min interval workout it says I put on 47,000 move calories!

I can find anything in the logs where its getting this data from, the row logged correctly at 150 cal. and can’t remove it.

Health data ( weight/ height) is correct & unchanged.

I had the same issue. I went into the health app, clicked on my profile pic, under privacy I clicked on Apps, then ErgData, the click on “Data from ErgData”, then under Active Energy you can see where things went awry. I deleted the blatantly wrong information- the 42,000 calories it said I burned and any others that seems inaccurate and it then updated on my watch as well. Hope this makes sense and helps!!

Greetings Tack778,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We would suggest calibrating the Appel Watch to help improve the accuracy. Find the guidance needed in the Apple Support article: Calibrate your Apple Watch for improved Workout and Activity accuracy - Apple Support

Calibrate your Apple Watch
1 . While wearing your Apple Watch, go to a flat, open outdoor area that offers good GPS reception and clear skies.
2. If you have Apple Watch Series 2 or later, you just need your Apple Watch.* If you have Apple Watch Series 1 or earlier, bring your iPhone for GPS. Hold your iPhone in your hand, or wear it on an armband or waistband.
3. Open the Workout app, then tap Outdoor Walk or Outdoor Run. To set a goal before starting, tap the ... icon.
4. Walk or run at your normal pace for about 20 minutes.

Let us know if this helps you.

Best regards!
