Duplicate calandar entries with iCloud and Outlook

Here we are in 2023 and this is still happening. It was well documented by many people back in 2019 yet there still seems to be no fix.

Please Apple can we get this sorted?

Hi PhilH-K, We appreciate you reaching out to us. We understand that you are experiencing duplicated Calendar entries with iCloud and Outlook.

We’d like to gather additional details that may help us be in a better position to assist you. Do you have both your iCloud and Outlook accounts set to sync Calendar details?

If yes, does it help if you only enable the sync on only one account?

In the meantime, let's try the steps below.

Delete local calendars on your Mac or Windows PC

To delete local calendars on your Mac:

  1. Make a copy of your iCloud calendar data.
  2. In the On My Mac section, click the calendar that you want to delete.
  3. You can delete the calendar in two ways:
    • Choose Edit > Delete.
    • Right-click and select Delete.

To delete local calendars on your PC:

  1. Make a copy of your iCloud calendar data.
  2. In My Calendars on your PC, right-click the calendar that you'd like to delete and choose Delete Calendar. Outlook won't let you delete the default Calendar, but you should be able to remove other calendars that you have permission to delete.

Trying the rest of the steps in the article below may also help.

If you have duplicate events on your iCloud Calendar

Take care!
