An iPhone 8 or 8+ model supports the latest (now 16.2) iOS version, which obviously contains everything is in 15.7.2 and more.

You can update it by using these instructions:--> Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Thanks, but is there way to just stay with 15.7.2 for a few weeks before jumping to the next level that I do not yet need? My problem is that the phone only proposes the latest version and not the 15.7.2….
