Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
I purchased the movie "The Birds" from the Apple TV app (desktop).
I can watch the movie but I can not download it. I receive the error #1005 (see attached)

That error is tied to a resulting issue with the network connection that halts the download. You can try rebooting the device and your router, running Speedtest for internet and also diagnostics for the local network.

I just purchased this movie.
I have over a hundred movies and TV shows. I can download any of them... It's only this movie that won't download.
If that is the case then I suggest contacting Apple so they can investigate the issue with that particular title.
