Ps4 game controller Constantly disconnects from appletv ? Any help that actually works - powering down the remote no help

No known fixes seem to work, my ps4 controller connects to my appletv then immediately loses its connection- seems like tons have had this problem but no fixes suggested by peers or apple work ? This is the 3rd controller I have tried .

Sony Playstation controller connects but won’t work in games and disconnects my Apple remote I have been having major issues trying to connect and use my Sony Playstation controller, which also causes my Apple TV remote to disconnect. I didn’t have these problems when support was first offered to connect a game controller. At present, when the remote is working. I can unpair and pair the controller successfully. I can move around the main Apple TV screen. When I open a game, the controller doesn’t work, and then the Apple TV disconnects, which is apparent by the message on the screen. I unable to play a game, nor return to the main screen using the Sony controller. After multiple clicking of the menu button on the Apple Remote I can exit the game back to the main Apple TV screen, where miraculously my controller is working again alongside the remote.

PS4 DualShock controller on Apple TV Apple states that PS4 DualShock controllers should work with Apple TV. However when pairing the controller, it briefly states the controller is connected only to lose connection a second later. Trying to press the PS button on the controller produces the same result. It works for a second only to lose connection again. I’ve seen posts here going back a few years reporting an issue trying to use PS4 DualShock controllers with Apple TV 4K. I’ve tried the fix of disconnecting the Apple TV Siri remote, but it doesn’t work. It’s sad to see that Apple hasn’t done anything about this issue, despite it having been an issue for so many for several years…

Apple TV 4K 2022 controller woes Both the controller and the remote seems to suffer but since I mostly playing Apple Arcade titles this is so annoying. I’ve tried two DualShock and one dualsense controllers and all of them either lag or stop working even though their battery levels is fine. Moving a bit closer to the AppleTV only works sometimes. The input gets like stuck on a direction or button and just keeps moving the character or the cursor up in a direction even when I’m pressing down. The controllers work perfectly when I connect them to my PS5 so it’s not the controllers. Updated to latest software and it’s still doing this. Read some other posts but no real solution it seems. Not really the kind of thing I’m used to seeing from Apple. Very disappointing considering this is the latest AppleTV.
