IPhone battery and ios 16.2 update

I installed the ios 16.2 update on my iPhone 11. I then had a new Apple battery installed at Best Buy.

Upon restart, the settings icon showed a red ”1”. It said that there was an update. When I went to software, it said I was up to date.

I shut off and restarted the phone and it did not disappear.

Hi victhemagician,

It seems you're having trouble clearing a notification badge for Settings. Is that correct?

Does you tap on the Settings icon, do you find where the badge might be? This isn't always for a software update. Some other part of Settings might indicate you need to interact with it.

You might check Settings > [your_name] or Settings > Battery.

Normally you will be told at the top what needs attention. Let us know if that changes.

Hello all,

While I waited for a reply to my message, I decided to turn off the Automatic Updates > Download IOS Updates to see if that would help. I waited for about 10 seconds and then turned Download Updates and Automatic Updates back on. This procedure resolved the issue. Glad it was a simple resolution.

Thanks for the responses from the community.
