Emergency contact information doesn’t update automatically

Hello all,

My dad fell today and the Apple Watch worked perfectly and called emergency services. What we noticed afterwards was that I received text notification ( as I should) but my mom did not. When we looked into it we noted that mom’s contact information did not change in the emergency contact info, even tho the information had been changed in the contacts app. As a result iPhone attempted to message their old home phone, in a different province. I was able to fix it by deleting and then adding my mom back again to my dads emergency contacts in the health app, but has anyone else had this problem? Does any one at Apple consider this a safety issue?
