locked out of my ipad

Hello I lost access to my Gmail account that was registered to my apple ID

I can't recover the Gmail because I don't know the password and I cant recover it either because it doesn't have a recovery email or number it is a 7 year old account.

is there a way to change the account to a new email without logging into the Gmail?

is there anything that can be done to recover the account?

I am stuck in the set up stage, can I remove the devices from the account and hard reset it?
