My text messages are saved to iCloud but I can't see them. How do I add the Messages app to my iCloud display?

Messages are set up in iPhone so they are saved in iCloud , when messages box is turned as on from Mac system preferences Keep your messages up to date with iCloud - Apple Support you can forward text messages from iPhone to Mac Forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your Mac or iPad - Apple Support
Messages cannot be viewed online, only on device.
