I have a sim pin, I have unlocked the sim. Iphone still says sim locked.
H2O swears they do not lock phones. I am in another country with no cell because I cannot switch the SIM card.
what else do I need to do besides enter the sim pin so that I can switch SIM cards?

Only the carrier can unlock your phone. Are you sure that it is locked to their service or any other service? You can find out by going to Settings > General > About. You would see "No SIM restrictions" if the phone is unlocked.
Try force restarting your phone to see if it will enable the SIM PIN button.

i have toggled back and forth between on and off using the sim pin. Restarted my device in every iteration with the sim pin on or off and keep getting the same result for carrier lock= SIM LOCKED
I have contacted the carrier, H2O, they said multiple times that they do do lock cell phones.
i thought that unlocking the sim with a pin would remove the sim lock, am I wrong?
By force restart you mean to just shut off the iphone and restart it correct?
