I think my Apple ID account may been linked to another device or source. How can I change my Apple ID without the other source knowing?

Hello,

I think my Apple ID or info may have been shared. I am living with a family member who is receiving text messages or alerts to their phone after I send a text or post on social media. I hear her cell phone get texting sounds every time. Very often, it’s weird. How can I change my Apple ID password without who ever may have my info?

You can change your Apple ID email address on your current Apple ID so you retain access to your data and prior purchases. Note the restrictions in the article.

Make sure you turn off Find My Phone before signing out of the old ID. Once signed out and Find My Phone is off, then sign in with the new ID, then turn Find My Phone back on.
