How To Disable Piano Sound During Events

I am using Safari on my Mac Book M1 Max. Every so often when I perform activities using Safari, I hear piano sounds. I am not finding a way to disable this. Can anyone please tell me how to shut these sounds off?

Thanks in advance.

I figured out what is going on, and this is now resolved.

It was a notification for new email, but the sounds were coming from eM Client and not Safari webmail. I disabled all sound notifications from this running app. It defaults to piano notes for new email.

Hello Dryne,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with sounds when using Safari. Does this occur when doing a specific action in Safari? This will help us to better isolate the issue. If this is an alert noise, try the steps listed here to see if they resolve the issue: Change the alert sounds on Mac

  1. "On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Sound  in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
  2. Click the pop-up menu next to “Alert sound” on the right, then choose a sound.
  3. The alert plays when you select it so you can hear how it sounds.
  4. Do any of the following to adjust the alert sound.
    • Change where you hear alerts: Normally you play sound effects through your computer’s internal speakers, but if another sound output device is available, you can choose it from the pop-up menu next to “Play sound effects through.”
    • Adjust the volume of alerts: Drag the Alert volume slider. The alert volume is relative to your computer’s output volume, so if you lower the computer’s volume, alert sounds also play more quietly.
    • Choose to play a sound when your Mac starts up: To hear the startup chime when you restart your Mac, turn on “Play sound on startup.”
    • Choose whether to hear user interface sound effects: Your Mac plays sound effects when you perform certain actions, such as dragging an item to the Trash. To turn off these sound effects, turn off “Play user interface sound effects.”
    • Choose whether to hear a sound effect when you change the volume: On some keyboards, when you press one of the volume keys, a sound plays to let you hear the new volume. To prevent this sound, turn off “Play feedback when volume is changed.” To temporarily reverse this setting, hold down the Shift key as you press a volume key. (Not all keyboards have volume keys.)

Tip: You can also have the screen flash when an alert appears. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Accessibility  in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Click Audio on the right, then turn on “Flash the screen when an alert sound occurs.”"

We hope this helps.

Cheers!

Thanks for responding, and the piano sound notification just went off moments ago. It looks like it's related to receiving new web email from a website. I am looking through Safari settings now trying to find where to disable this. It must apply to a specific website, but I have not found it so far. I have notifications in Safari set to deny for two websites.
