Facebook jumping

I started having the problem Saturday morning on my M2 MacBook Pro right after upgrading from Monterey to Ventura. Facebook jumps around like crazy on Safari, scrolls perfectly fine on Chrome. However I also just tested it on my ancient 2010 15" MacBook Pro running High Sierra and it's having the exact same issue. So it clearly isn't tied to any specific OS or Safari version.

Yes, I'm having the same issue on my 2020 MacBook Pro. FB is impossible to use with Safari. I'm having issues also with Firefox, but not as bad. Chrome works perfectly. Very odd because I have the same issue with Safari on my iPad and also on an older iMac that is running an old OS. iPhone runs FB fine in Safari.

Facebook page jumping is completely unreadable in Safari. I changed to Firefox and jumping has stopped. Apple needs to look into this ASAP

Yep, it's been doing it for a while, and is making it impossible to use on both my Macbook Pro w/High Sierra, and my iMac with Big Sur. Yet Facebook works fine on Firefox, Brave, & Opera...

Looks very much like a Facebook server-side issue. I just checked my old MacMini printer server, locked in time back at macOS Catalina with Safari 15.6.

Ergo, it seems we can't blame a recent OS or Safari update.

So... what's common across all my various Mac systems and devices, old and new?

The Facebook servers.

Anybody want to check back further than Catalina builds? Could be interesting and helpful.

Facebook works fine in Chrome and Firefox, but it's an unviewable mess on Safari! Fix it, Apple!!!

Yes! It started January 14, 2023 for me as well. I'm relieved that it isn't just my Mac. Using Chrome to view Facebook until Apple addressed the issue.

Me Too. Seems to have started after the latest Ventura update. Chrome works just fine as does iPad.

Last month mine quit jumping after about a day...don't know if Apple of FB fixed whatever issue is was, but it's not jumping today on my system. Maybe just give it 24 hours and make sure you have any outstanding Safari/MacOS updates applied?

Started on 2021 M1 iMAC Safari 16.2 when I updated to Ventura IOS 13.1. Facebook now completely unusable. About Jan 14 as well.
