I started having the problem Saturday morning on my M2 MacBook Pro right after upgrading from Monterey to Ventura. Facebook jumps around like crazy on Safari, scrolls perfectly fine on Chrome. However I also just tested it on my ancient 2010 15" MacBook Pro running High Sierra and it's having the exact same issue. So it clearly isn't tied to any specific OS or Safari version.
I just got the Mac Studio and Facebook started jumping on Safari! It works ok Chrome. How about a fix?
On the basis that it works with Chrome and other browsers and is ok with Safari on IOS, I doubt it is a FB issue. Can never be sure of course but unlikely I would have thought.
It’s happening in the app and on both Mac and iPad.. This seems like not a safari bug but a facebook bug… It is annoying and makes the platform unusable.
It jumps and skips like mad in latest version of Monterey with latest Safari update, too.
Intel MacMini 2018 and MacBook Air M1 2020, all with latest version/updates to Monterey and Safari, FB jumps like crazy and is unviewable/unusable.
Same here, started jumping on both 2015 macbook pro and desktop mac mini m1. Facebook is now impossible to use.
This page jumping on Facebook is a nightmare, think it’s a Facebook problem, as it’s the same for me on all browsers on ipad
But it is not happening on Chrome or Edge. And it seems to have started after the latest Ventura update, for me anyway. IOS has the FB App and that is also working ok.
I'm also finding Facebook unreadable, both on my iMac and MacBook. iPhone is unaffected. I've tried the "command+0" suggestion. No help. I've reported it on 1/16/23, using the Safari link.
Both Mac's in my house have this problem. Both Ventura. Really?
I have the same issue using Firefox, it is not just Safari, but may be the last update.
This is very frustrating. If it's a Facebook flaw in code, then Facebook should fix it but if it's a Safari specific foible, Apple should fix it.
In any case, I hope it's resolved soon, it's VERY FRUSTRATING!
OMG FB jumping started on January 14th too! So annoying I spent all evening deleting cookies, emptying caches, checking extensions, changing zoom levels, researching everything. It is inconvenient to keep switch to Chrome just to be on Facebook. It is impossible as others have stated to use Facebook in Safari.
Facebook is unusable since yesterday, the feed is jumping like mad.. makes it impossible to read.. I've tried all the 'fixes' , empty cache, delete cookies, checked zoom etc all to no avail.
I don't want to use Chrome or FFox just for FB !!! get it fixed Apple
Me too and others I've spoken to.
Safari in general has been awful in Ventura. Doordash keeps giving me a memory usage warning and I have 16Gb RAM and this has never happened before.
Also, has anyone noticed a long delay if left clicking the mouse wanting to save a picture to the desktop?
I also hate the new system settings list instead of much easier to use icons.
So far I am not a fan of Ventura and I hope Apple gets to fixing these issues but so far they seem to be dragging their feet
