Same thing here, has happened before. I think it's some circa 1998 yahoo power move to get the mail app on your phone. I only use it for fantasy sports, so think this can wither on the vine.

You can add your Yahoo! email account back to your iPhone by following the steps outlined below:
1: Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts.
2: Tap Add Account, then select your email provider.
3: Enter your email address and password.
4: If you see Next, tap Next and wait for Mail to verify your account.
5: If you see Save, tap Save.
