Can't add Yahoo account to iPhone mail ios 16.5

This morning Mail stopped retrieving messages for my Yahoo! account. After confirming the password in the Passwords tab of Settings didn't work, I deleted the Yahoo! Account from Mail with the intent to re-install it. I am now unable to install the account.

I can add my username and password. The install process fails at the following screen, then reverts back to the Add Account menu.
