Since some days I've serious problems using facebook with safari on my iPad: As soon as i start scrolling on FB it starts to jump continously between different contents so normal working with FB gets totally impossible. I tried to solve this problem updating my iPad from iOS 15 to iOS 16, deleted cache and history - nothing helps.
Do anybody have an idea or a solution? Would be great!

Except that it's happening across the board on versions of Safari that were last updated long before the problems started yesterday. Safari 16 in Ventura and Safari 13 in High Sierra, neither recently updated, but equally affected only since yesterday. Explain that.
In all the threads on Apple, Reddit, and MacRumors discussing this Facebook issue in the last 24 hours, I have not seen one person say their version of Safari on Mac is working fine with Facebook. Not everyone applies updates on the same day, and not all versions need an update. For all versions of Safari to break for one particular website ALL on the exact same day points to one thing... the website.
My IPad was on 14 and started doing it yesterday. I upgraded to 16 and it still does it. It is NOT a an IOS version issue
It does exist on older OSs and a friend reported experiencing on her pc today. Facebook issue

Pretty sure this is a Facebook problem as I don’t allow any updates to install and this only started happening & and no probs on other sites.

Yep. Scrolling problem started recently on my Mac. Works fine on iPhone. Unusable on the Mac. Wasn't related to a Mac OS upgrade so must be Facebook.
I'm having the same issue with Facebook on Safari as many others are since I installed an update this week. I start out scrolling on Facebook with no problem but that quickly changes to the point where is just continues to scroll and you can't read anything or click on comments because it just keeps scrolling. To say it's annoying is an UNDERSTATEMENT!!! Is this an Apple problem due to the update I just installed?
Same issue here using a MBP M1 running Monterey with Safari. It just keeps scrolling all by itself. I made a point to stay away from Chrome when I got the MBP back in the Fall. I'm not downloading Chrome onto it.
this started recently on my iPad. I noticed it on my Mac today (Big Sur 11.7.2). I downloaded DuckDuckGo browser on my iPad today and it didn't help. If you search on the topic there is a lot out there but no solutions. FB is probably trying to get everyone to get off the website and use the app.
I have the same issue with FB scrolling by itself on both my MBP running Catalina and safari 14 and my iPad. This is something that has just started in the last day or so. I don't think it has to do with the update as my MBP hasn't been updated in a while. Whatever it is, I sincerely hope it is resolved soon as it is horrible and renders FB unusable for both my personal and business accounts!
Everyone seems to be having problems using Safari on Facebook no matter what device is being used. I've got the same problem on my Mac and iPad, even with updated OS. I often have had problems with these 2 together.
My iPad is working fine, it's my desktop that is giving me issues - I updated the operating system yesterday hoping to fix the issue but it hasn't been fixed. It scrolls all by itself like it's possessed. I would love to fix it as well - I kind of wondered if it wasn't a Facebook punishment to me for posting what I post...LOL!
Yes, I believe this is true for me too, starts when I roll over Reels - update - nope - not that specific. I get a few normal scrolls in, then is starts, no rhyme or reason that I can identify other than that.

Not for me. While it does take a very short while for the issue to start. Mine starts happening long before I get to the Reels. Safari 13.1.2
I updated my Mac Desktop to the latest version of Monterey and Facebook went bonkers. I have yet to update my MacBook Pro, it has and older version of Monterey and I don't have any issues with Facebook. Logically, I'd say it's the latest version of Monterey that is the culprit.
