Recovering files from a Time Machine backup
I had to erase the internal drive of my MacBook Pro and reinstall macOS following an issue where the Apple/File menu was not visible - see The Apple/File menu is not visible in macOS Monterey. Now, several months on, the issue appears resolved thankfully. Big thanks to steve626 for his help at the time. I adopted a very cautious approach and installed applications only as needed in order to avoid reintroducing any bug that may have contributed to the original issue. I now want to reinstall/reinstate other files/data that exist on a Time Machine backup that I have for my laptop before I erased the internal drive. Specifically, my photo library along with some other media files. Are there any tips or tricks I need to consider when reconnecting this backup? Any help or advice would be hugely appreciated as I seek to rebuild my laptop. For info, I do have a new Time Machine backup on a separate external hard drive.
