Keyboard Macbook Air not working

Hi, need help!

my mousepad is still working but my keyboard is not working anymore. It was working perfectly fine. We opened the macbook to clean the mousepad (a bit of liquid damage). As far as we could see the damage was quite okay. The keyboard was also perfectly working but when we cleaned up the mousepad and put everything back, the keyboard wasn’t working anymore. Any suggestions on what it could be that we possibly could have damaged or should be changed to get the keyboard working again? I have no clue why it doesn’t work anymore, we tried putting it back a few times to see if we missed something or if it was not well done but no result. Mousepad works good and so was the keyboard before but not doing anything anymore.

when using external keyboard it does work perfect but that’s not handy for the long run…
