Reset the SMC and NVRAM:

Sometimes changes are made that require in the system caches to be reset. This just might do the trick. So, first attempt this by using an external keyboard keyboard:

• Reset your NVRAM
• Reset your SMC

Try this before contacting apple support to set up hardware service

Your Mac may be showing a low battery alert that you can’t see. Connect your Mac to an electrical outlet or connect an external keyboard to your Mac to see the alert.
