Keyboard of my MacBook Pro has stopped working however the touch bar works fine

Hey, my keyboard stopped working but the touch bar works fine… it starts working when i open my laptop and after 2 minutes it just stops.

i went to a shop and they said my whole laptop is fine but maybe when i fixed it in the past they put in a copy screen (was cracked once) could this be the problem?

That does not sound like much help...

and why did you walk out with a repair not being done(?)

You can plug in an external keyboard and compare your results as a work-a-round.

It sounds to me there is a circuit trace in the keyboard cable that has a generic fault— if it works a short time and then glitches out.

the cables are actually not cables but flexible circuit boards, usually mylar, with printed circuit traces taking the place of wires.

This type of cable can experience cracks in traces due to aging, heat, vibration, impact or abrasion. They can be damaged quite easily if the unit is mishandled during assembly or re-assembly.
