Shortcut to open a specific folder in the Files app (iphone XR)

Hello :) I've created a new folder in the Files app, and I would like to have a widget or shortcut saved on my home screen that will open that folder directly. It seems as though it should be pretty simple, but I can't seem to figure it out.

If anyone can assist, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Is the folder in iCloud Drive or "On My iPhone"? ...How far have you got? ...What's still to figure out?

Here's an example opening the Downloads folder. You can place an icon on the Home Screen which will open the Downloads folder with a single tap:

The above is a simple custom Shortcut I created consisting of two actions: Folder and Open File:

...Then:

Add a shortcut to the Home Screen on iPhone or iPad

The 'Open File' action is what you need and there are two ways to find it. The first is via search:

Or, instead of searching, tap on the search bar and then on the Documents category and scroll down to the Files section:

Hi Alancito, Thanks so much for the quick reply!

To answer your question, the folder is saved in ICloud Drive.

I’m getting stuck on creating the shortcut. In the Shortcuts app, I clicked the + sign to create a new shortcut. Can you tell me which action I should select, please? I tried searching Open, but I only get Open Files - I did get Open Folders, but that seems to be pointing to shortcuts that are saved in folders in the Shortcuts app.

Thanks again!
