How can i pair my apple watch series 2 with my new iphone 14

My apple watch series 2 did not pair to my new iphone when I switched to iphone 14 from Iphone Xs. Can I pair it by resetting the iwatch? Is there any other method to pair the two?

You will find it very difficult.

Erase the watch completely (You should have unpaired it from the old iPhone which will erase it)

Set it up as a new watch, do not restore the backup,

Then hope and pray.
