FindMy AirTag notifications

Hello, I have a software setup issue with Find My. If I turn off the Notification left behind option for AirTags and IPad min, it automatically turns back on (after a while) and I receive notifications again when I left it behind. Also, a new location is then automatically added where I was at the time I disabled this option. How can I solve the problem of the option not turning back on automatically? I have updated all devices with the latest software.

Hello mphoogeveen,

Since all your devices are up to date, let's use the steps below to remove your AirTag from Find My:

1. Tap Items at the bottom of the screen, then tap the item you want to remove.

2. Bring the item near your iPhone.

If the item is not near your device, you can still remove it from your account. However, the item must be reset before anyone can register it to their Apple ID.

3. Tap Remove Item, then follow the onscreen instructions.

Afterwards, you'll want to set your AirTag back up to see if that behavior persists. That should help further isolate a potential software conflict.

Should that behavior still continue, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support: Contact - Official Apple Support They'll be in the best position to look into this further.
