iCloud Drive turned on during software upgrade, now won't turn off.

I am on MacOS 13.1 (22C65).

It is my work computer, I still use my personal Apple ID as I use some personal features on the laptop (Music, Contacts, etc), but definitely do not want to use my iCloud drive with personal files.

If I try to turn it off, I first takes forever for each screen to render and become active so that I can click on it. Sometimes I make it to the final screen, that ask me if I want to keep the files or delete it.

I choose delete, but it nevers complete and ends up on this empty screen.

If I go out and back in, the iCloud drive is still on.

Hello 2balive,

Let's have you try disabling iCloud Drive in safe mode. This mode only runs critical software, so it can help stop a lot of background processes which may let you manage iCloud Drive easier. Here's how to access safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Let us know how things behave and we'll go from there.

Thanks!
