Numerical Ordinals Superscript with iPhone text replacement keyboard.

How do I create numerical ordinals superscripts (st, nd, rd, th, ect) using the iOS keyboard text replacement feature. The keyboard use to do it automatically, but stopped a few software updates ago. I tried cutting and pasting from Pages, but it didn't work. It's automatic in both Pages and Numbers once turned on. It's easily done on the MacBook Pro as well, but I have not gotten it to work with iPhone 13Max (IOS 16.2) or iPad Air4 (iPadOS 16.2). Does anyone have suggestions on how I might accomplish the simply automation of ordinal superscripting using the keyboard Text Replacement or otherwise?

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 16
