Until yesterday, I had been running Monterey. After the most recent automatic update that the system pushed through in that OS, I started experiencing restarts from kernel panic. I have never experienced this before with any MacBook I've owned (this is my third). My MBP prompted me to upgrade to Ventura, and I did. I am now operating with
Ventura 13.1 and I am still experiencing kernel panic with random restarts, even when not actively using my computer. This is the report from the most recent restart. What do I need to do to stop this from happening?
unplug all third party peripherals to test for any associated issue.
Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus
all known to cause issues on the macOS
A SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support will sort many anomalies. You do not have to log in here, reboot as normal.
If the issue continues to trouble shoot further you can:
—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support
This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.
—The SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support
Login and test in this environment more fully
Takes a bit longer to get to the login screen, does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, font cache, etc., The machine will be hobbled as third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled.
This test will tell you if third party interference; extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.
Reboot as normal and compare your results. Caches get rebuilt automatically.
