A song keep playing on without sound.

So I had this playlist with around 600 songs, every now and then a song comes up playing without sound, I would either have to wait for it to end and the next song would normally play with sound again or I would have to find this song and click on it again and the sound would go back to normal again.

I didn’t really know what was happening, until I created a smaller playlist with around 50 songs, in this new playlist that I have been playing on repeat 3-4 times a day for the last 4-5 days I noticed that only one song specifically is having this problem, every time “I’m pretty sure it’s every single time” this song comes up it plays on mute, if I was away from my phone and had the Bluetooth speaker next to me I can go to the previous song and next again and it would play with sound, but still if it’s left on it’s own I would have to wait for the length of the full song until I have sound again.

I have a fully updated iPhone 8.

Hi Eyad8,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you've narrowed this down to a particular song which is great. In this case, try deleting the song and then adding it back. The steps for adding the song again will depend on how it was added to your iPhone originally.

For instance, if the song was added using Apple Music, use these steps from Add and download music from Apple Music - Apple Support.

"How to add music from Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, or Android

  1. Open the Apple Music app.
  2. Touch and hold a song, album, or playlist that you want to add to your library.
  3. Tap Add to Library."

If the song was added by syncing with a computer, use the corresponding link from Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod using your computer - Apple Support depending on whether you have a Mac or PC.

Take care.

Hi faith185,

thank you for you kind reply.

I deleted the song and added it again, I am just adding songs in the music app, I am not using a laptop or downloading the songs, but the problem is still the same, although I noticed that I was mistaken, even though it’s always the same song, it does play some of the times, but mostly stay on mute until the song ends.
