Emojis not working when I type

Hi,

How do I get back the Emojis when I type on iPhone? I used to have it and now it's gone.

I have the setting to predictive done. It was working fine before and all of a sudden it stopped working. I got it to work on Text, Notes and email apps however it refuses to work in Reminders app now. It was working there too. I keep trouble shooting.

Hey there Ro620,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. To get started, are you referring to Predictive emojis? If so, this would require you to have predictive text enabled. For more details, check out this information below from the following resource: Use emoji on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Use Predictive emoji
With predictive text, you can write and complete entire sentences with just a tap. As you type, you see choices for words and phrases you might type next, based on your past conversations and writing style. You also see suggestions for emoji that you may want to use. To use a Predictive emoji, write your message and look for the suggested emoji in the predictive input field, then tap it to replace the word or add an emoji.

To turn on Predictive text, touch and hold the Emoji button  or the globe Next Keyboard button, tap Keyboard Settings, then turn on Predictive.

Let us know if that's able to help.

Cheers!

Hey Ro620,

Got it. Thanks for letting us know it only happens with a certain app. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards to check if the original keyboard is listed here and selected. If not, temporarily change to the QWERTY keyboard, which you will see after selecting your language, then test to see if the same issue persists. Here's some more information about keyboard settings: About the keyboards settings on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support. This will help us isolate the issue.

Have a great day.
