Earphones : Totally unacceptable from Apple

I just bought a new iphone with USB-C port (the last one I had, iPhone 11 was on lightning port). I just discovered that there is no way of using my lightning earphones on that port. And even though there might be converters, they are not certified or **** expensive. The only ones I found was a type C to jack (so Apple obliged us to start using lightning and now going back to jack ?!?). Seriously ? I live Apple products, and have plenty of them but this is just not ok. Valid reason to get rid of Apple products. We are currently trying to reduce waste and Apple keeps forcing to buy dongles, converters etc. Really not Eco-friendly behaviour. Total disappointment.
