How do i convert a pages document
Why can't I email a pages document as a word doc on my mac but can do it from my phone and iPad. To me this seems like an important feature to keep not deactivate

If you are using Pages v12.2.1 on Ventura, then Apple removed the Share menu and all instances of the Send a Copy feature that would perform the automatic format export and Mail attachment. No one here knows the rationale for that fiasco.
Instead, you must now manually export to Word, and then manually attach that Word document to an outgoing Mail compose window.
I also wrote an AppleScript based Shortcut that will prompt for the type of document (PDF, Word, RTF) that you want to attach to an email and then automatically export and attach it for you. You can find the two-part post of the code and instructions in PAGES: Where did "share as pdf" go? - Apple Community . In that thread, and on Dec 5, 2022, I added some minor revisions that would allow one to choose Pages documents on iCloud Drive too.
