Temperature display on iPhone lock screen

Thank you for your reply Soosie_J215. Yes I am referring to the weather channel widget. At this local time 4:17pm at the bottom of the circle is a cloud, I assume representing the current sky condition with the temp in the center. The circle framing the temp is a bit more than 3/4 around in white and the rest of the circle is grayed, up to the cloud icon on the bottom. I press the widget and I read the temperature range under the current temp is 42° and Day is 43° - Night is 36°. So from that partial circle am I supposed to know that it's a 7° range and that it's from a low of 36°? I hope that helps indicate the nature of my little query. So the partial circle indicates at what part of the total temperature range the present temperature stands in relation to the complete temperature range, if I understand correctly. Thanks.
