This has happened several times. The messages is always different and the entire screen goes grey. I take a screenshot and force restart the phone. Obviously I do not want to click the link or the “dismiss” option.

One possibility that may be is that your iPhone has been put in Lost Mode and this is the message. You can check this using the Find My app on your device.

Thank you. The message is always different, like I said. Once, it said something about Obamacare! So definitely not lost mode.
it is disappointing that there is not real answer as this is the same response someone got years ago.
