Touch ID not available
Hi, I'm running Ventura 13.1 on a Mac Studio Ultra and as of today, Touch ID isn't available in the System Prefs. I also have a keyboard with Touch ID.
How do I get it to work again?
Thanks!

Are you saying nothing is showing in Preferences...if you search for Touch ID(?)
Are you saying TouchId worked as expected before you update to Ventura 13.1 ?
Can you verify you have TouchID keyboard: Magic Keyboard with Touch ID for Mac models with Apple silicon
Can you connect the keyboard with a charging cord and compare your results...(?)
If no resolve try SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support to sort anomalies.

Hi, the safe boot up didn't help. I brought the keyboard to Apple and they replaced it. There was something definitely wrong with the keyboard.
Hard to fix hardware issues here on line...thanks for your follow up post, mystery solved.

That's correct, nothing is showing in Preferences.
It worked as expected with 13.1 and stopped working today.
I do have a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID.
I'll try SafeBoot.
Thanks!
Did the safe boot help?
Connect the Keyboard using the Suppled Apple Cable to computer and turn on the keyboard.
Does it Appear in System Setting ( formerly Preferences )

The keyboard is connected via cable at all times. When I replaced it, it worked out of the box.
