iCloud+ and Find my, family sharing problem
My family has a shared 200gb iCloud+ subscription and has been working perfectly for my two parents, but for some reason I’m having issues with the subscription sharing to me.
I just got into the Apple ecosystem and bought an iPhone 14 pro for Christmas. The phone is great, but my parents (previously always had iPhone) iCloud subscription isn’t sharing to me. It says on the organisers account that I and “Not using” the subscription (it doesn’t even show a subscription is being shared to me) We found that by turning off family sharing for everyone and then back on again, it seems to give me a notification the it has started sharing to me. It actually does start working perfectly fine for me and I can back up my phone and stuff, but only a few hours later it will kick me from shared access, turn off my find my location sharing and turn off all the features that come with iCloud+.
The really interesting part in my opinion is that it’s telling me how I am not subscribed to iCloud+ (I have no previous subscriptions), but it will give me 200gbs of iCloud storage space as if I own the plan without any family members taking up storage. It will also not give me any other feature that are included with iCloud+ (I can actually use the glitched iCloud storage as well)
Note: I am on iOS 16.2, I have tried going into all the settings and checking shared purchases and subscriptions are all on, that my Apple ID is the same as my media and purchases and all that stuff. I have signed out of my apple account on my phone and back in. I’ve tried all the tricks in the book to fix this (me and my father are “techie” people)
We just need an apple offical to help fix this as it is 100% a back end issue.
