Why didn’t my watch track my sleep?!

why didn’t my watch track my sleep?! This night especially was very important to show my doctor the next morning what has been going and couldn’t be more disappointed and frustrated with apple!!! I turned on sleep focus at 11:30pm manually. Was in bed for 6 hours, watch was 80% charge, there was no update, etc! There should be no reason that my watch didn’t track my sleep. I have so many issues with my watch that I’ve about had it am this close to just throwing this piece I’d trash into the trash where it belongs and getting a whoop! I used this article to trouble shoot what may have gone wrong and not single one of those issues occurred to result in no data record. https://www.myhealthyapple.com/apple-watch-not-tracking-sleep-or-sleep-stages-heres-what-you-can-do/. Look forward to your response because this unacceptable for a $600 watch advertised to track your sleep!

Just happened again this past night after doing a complete factory reset which should not be needed to begin with. Will be throwing this watch in the trash! Just two weeks of using this feature and was a total disappointment among a slue of numerous other issues after watch os 9. Not only did it not work multiple nights in a short span of time but was totally inaccurate the nights it did “work”. Would say I was in core sleep when I was quite literally sitting up watching tv. Said I fell asleep in 2 minutes when I had been tossing and turning for over 45mins prior to getting to sleep. Could not more strongly disapprove of this feature and product!

Just try making a small change in your sleep schedule that you set up.

Go in there and change one of the times by a minute. See if it will start tracking your sleep again. If it does, great! You can go back in and undo that minute of change the following day.

As for the accuracy, two things:

  1. We aren't Apple, we are just fellow Apple users on this forum. You can fill out and submit this form to reach out to the developer's: Feedback - Watch - Apple
  2. None of the features are for medical diagnosis. If need be, you might want to undergo a sleep study. Your Dr. can help you set that up.

Hopefully my little trick will get your watch to start tracking your sleep again.
