resetting my iMac to factory settings
Hi I have an iMac (2012) Catalins, would like to set it back to factory settings but worried going to lose content on iPad and iPhone, any help grateful.
iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

actions taken on one device with your appleID does not affect other devices with your appleID if it did then you would never be able to sell any of them, which would require you to return them to factory settings
Have bought myself an Apple Macair so computer is redundant and very old (2012) so would like to clear all contents from it .
