Hello JDPascolo,
Have you checked the iCloud website to see if the emails still show there? Just in case, here's a guide on using the iCloud website: Sign in and use iCloud.com - Apple Support
If the emails show there, you should be able to get them to sync up with your iPhone and computer. For your iPhone, the steps under "If you need help sending or receiving mail on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch" should help get it synced up: If iCloud Mail isn't working - Apple Support
If you need help sending or receiving mail on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
1. Check your Internet connection. Open apple.com in Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
2. To see if you can receive mail for your iCloud email on another device, go to iCloud.com on a Mac or PC.
3. Make sure that you turned on Mail in Settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Tap Settings > [your name] > iCloud and turn on Mail.
3. Make sure that new data is pushed to your device automatically. In iOS 14 or later, tap Settings > Mail > Accounts > Fetch New Data, then turn on Push. In iOS 13 or earlier, tap Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Fetch New Data, then turn on Push.
• Send an email to your account to see if Push is working.
• In Fetch New Data, tap your iCloud account and turn on Push. You can only use Push with one account at a time.
5. Turn your device off and back on.
6. If you still can't send or receive mail, turn off the settings in steps 3 and 4, restart your device, then turn them back on.
You didn't mention which computer you're using, Mac or PC. There are steps included in that guide for both, so be sure to check those out to get your Mac synced.
Let us know what you find.
Take care!

Thank you for your response. I have no issue using email. I just don’t understand why I can only access 1 year of history on iPhone or PC when I log on to ICloud. Did something change re: time history is saved. I noticed something a year or so ago when an update happened that I lost a lot of UNREAD emails that I was saving. I assume they were over a year old. Now my history only goes back to January of 2022. It seems every day I lose old emails that are older than 1 year. I have been started to ARCHIVE emails I want to save now. That seems to work. But it’s not fun knowing how many important emails I lost that are older than one year. If there is another solution, I’m all ears. Thank you.
Thank you kindly for your response. But let me make this clear, because nobody is addressing my main concern. My email works just fine. I know how to archive and delete emails.
my question is clearly: WHY DOES MY EMAIL HISTORY ONLY GO BACK 1 YEAR???
to clarify: Why can’t I access emails from prior to 01/20/2022??? Why can’t I access emails from 2021 or 2020, or 2019, or 2018 ect. I DID NOT delete all of my prior emails. They are gone.
Moving forward, apparently I am supposed to ARCHIVE the emails I want to keep older than 1 year.
AM I MISUNDERSTANDING SOMETHING HERE?
Thank you. 😍
