Yes, AirPrint printer models are compatible with macOS (Monterey), provided that the Mac computer and the printer are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). In this case, additional drivers are not needed.

Most printers from the past 3-5 years are compatible with macOS including Monterey 12.6. If you find a printer you like, check the printer specs and maybe even the manufacturer's website to verify they have released drivers for Monterey.

Airprint does not require any drivers and is fine if you are ok with wireless connection and basic printing functionality.
