Heart Rate does not record consistently during run

Whenever I do an activity that gets my arms moving, my Apple Watch ultra becomes very sporadic with recording heart rate. I have it tightly fastened on my wrist, but I can't seem to get it to consistently record my heart rate. When I stop moving my hands, it starts working again. Any fixes for this?

I suspect that, as your arm gets sweaty, the watch slips a bit. You might try tightening it just a tad more before exercising. You might also try moving it up your arm a little toward your elbow.

There might be someone out there with an answer but I’ve watched some YouTube videos of Nick Bare and he’s said that the heart rate monitors on smart watches (he uses Garmin) isn’t great to reference from and he uses an actual chest heart rate monitor. But maybe there is a solution that im not aware of

he explains his heart rate monitor at 11:10 and says he never trusts his heart rate monitor on his smart watch
