Dose the barcode on the back of the iPhone box have a specific texture?
Hello,
Sorry for my weird question, but I bought my first iPhone (SE 2022), it was sold by Amazon and they do have an Apple store page so I assume it's original. When I was looking at ways to authenticate an iPhone, I came across a YouTube comment saying that the barcode on the box should have a textured feel to it, and if it's smooth, then the phone is fake.
In my iPhone SE box, the barcode has the same texture as the information that's written above it (you know, the specifications, components, designed by, assembled in... etc). It doesn't feel smooth as the side or front of the box.
So I don't know what that comment meant. Did he/she mean the same texture as the other information on the back, or does the barcode have a special texture that my box simply doesn't have and my phone is fake.
I did check the serial number on Apple's check coverage page, I checked the model number, compared them both to the information on the box and also on iTunes. Obviously checked both the hardware & software. I haven't done an IMEI check just because I don't want to give out my IMEI to websites. Although everything seems legit.
I do wanna make sure however about the barcode stuff and whether if it's correct or just misinformation. Thank you!
