computer is freezing again

I wrote about this problem before in the message Computer is freezing on a regular basis - Apple Community


And the issue has reoccurred.


Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I believe there is a hardware failure which cannot be fixed and cannot be detected by Apple's testing tools. After the first time at the Apple Store, they told me it passed all of their hardware tests.


Suspecting that it may have been a software update that went bad, I had disabled automatic software updates and selected download only.


I have been trying to send the system report to apple, but that keeps failing as well.

Looking at your other message, it seems like you are a victim of the dreaded macOS Computer Sleep problem.


To test for that, go to the Energy Saver Settings and disable Automatic Computer Sleep.


Then either allow the Computer to stay at night with the Display(s) turned off.

Or optionally completely Shutdown the Computer at night and startup in the morning.
