Magic Trackpad (1?) randomly disconnects from Studio

My Magic Trackpad (first version I believe) disconnects from my Studio unexpectedly and randomly. I plug it back in with my lightening cable and it reconnects. I check the battery and it's always above 60% or better. Today it was 90+%. Asking the community for a more permanent solution to this problem as it is happening at a brisker pace than previously. Thank you.
