Out of storage on my Apple Watch (due to media)

Since the recent Apple Watch software update my full music library is appearing in my Apple Watch (SE) despite only ever syncing one play list, previous to the software update my watch was working fine.

If I try to delete music from my watch it then deletes it from all my devices.

I have reset my watch from new at least three times now and spent 1.5hours on the phone with an apple support guru (including screen sharing) we were unable to resolve this and apple support thinks it may be linked to a glitch in the software update and has reported it to the developers

it’s precluding me from recording and syncing any exercise workouts (map my run) due to having “no storage memory”

any ideas ? We followed all previous directions to resolve this both via apple’s support guides and on here

Its not a glitch in my OS9.2 and I haven't noticed it in the forum.

If all settings normal but behaviour is irrational there is a progressive hierarchy of remedies...

First force restart the Watch

i.e. press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.

Then, although it may seem irrelevant, while it is restarting Force Restart the paired iphone Force restart iPhone – Apple Support (UK)

Test it for a while. If it is still misbehaving... Unpair and set up again

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch – Apple Support (UK)

and then

Set up your Apple Watch – Apple Support (UK)

If no better you may want to unpair then set up without restoring the backup.

You may also want to make sure the software on the watch and iphone are up to date iOS16,2 and watch OS9.2

Then normally I day - If you've completed that troubleshooting and the issue is still not resolved, Contact Support. except you have been there already.
