Not Receiving SMS Messages

My wife and I have identical iPhone 14's. We live in a very rural area where the mobile signal is usually 0 to 1 bar so we use Wi-Fi calling. Calls are fine - but - while I can receive SMS messages ok my wife can not. We did a stare and compare in Settings and things are equal. Any suggestions on what else we should look at?
