Passcode

Under my name within settings, Apple is asking for my passcode for my iPad, with the excuse that it will keep my iCloud operating. I thought the keychain was used for that reason? I’m hesitant about giving my passcode out to Apple. Why do they really need it? So they can have access to all my apps, including banking info?

All Is Fine:

Apple is not going to access your data. Passcodes are an anti-theft measure. So, you are fine entering it, if you want to access your device with your Apple ID.
