why will my Iwatch series 6 not update when connected to my iphone?
My iwatch series 6 will not update when i try to connect to my iphone 8+, what should I do?

Have you tried updating watchOS directly from the Watch?
On the watch;
1) Open the Settings app
2) Open General
3) Open Software Update
4) If there is an update available choose to install it
Put the watch on it's charging puck and keep your iPhone nearby.
