My auto lock time button for display and brightness is gray and won't let me change the time.

Hey there RichLS,


Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. To get started, do you by chance have Low Power Mode enabled on your iPhone? If so, are you able to change the Auto-Lock timer if you disable Low Power Mode by going to:


1. Settings

2. Battery


If you are, then we do want to let you know that this would be expected behavior, as the Auto-Lock setting would default to 30 seconds when Low Power Mode is turned on. For more details, check out this link here: Use Low Power Mode to save battery life on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support


When Low Power Mode is on, your iPhone or iPad will last longer before you need to charge it, but some features might take longer to update or complete. Also, some tasks might not work until you turn off Low Power Mode, or until you charge your iPhone or iPad to 80% or higher.

Low Power Mode reduces or affects these features:
- Auto-Lock (defaults to 30 seconds)
