Continuity camera not working

'Unable to Connect Continuity Camera MacBook Pro is currently...

To use Continuity Camera, disconnect Airplay first.'

What does this mean???? I have tried everything, including support. The only thing that sometimes works is to restart my iPhone 12 Pro...it then works initially but seems to stop. Anyone else out there get this issue when the phone disconnects and then you try to use again as a camera?

Any help is appreciated.

I randomly have the same problem since I tried to use the Continuity Camera function a week ago. I will call support but tonnight instead of rebooting everything I simply tried to connect the iPhone in my MacBook and it worked immediately. Same if I connect it to a USB-C port on my external monitor. I think there is a bug with the wireless configuration but I will validate with support. Hopefully they will be able to help.
