Google keeps asking me to enter my password; when I click continue, the browser does not open. When I go to Internet accounts , both my personal gmail and Exchange server account details are correct and there is no option to enter a password.

A reoccurring message from Google, is requesting my password verification. When I open Gmail and click on account details (in Internet security), mail details show my address, with all functions open and working (blue check mark). there is no option to enter my password.

If I try responding to the Google message on my laptop by clicking continue, it does not open my browser (just continues to search) so I cannot continue and enter my password.

Today there is a second message asking me to verify my Exchange password (business email), with the same results.

All I need to do is enter my passwords.

I also had this problem happening to me and I finally figured it out. You have to find out what browser the email password needs to be updated in. I had my default browser set as Google and got the same problems of going to Internet Accounts and there was no option to enter a password as well as the google browser not opening. Then I changed my browser preferences to Safari (which I used to use), clicked on the pop up and BOOM! It took me straight to the steps to verify my password. I have not gotten the pop up message since then. I hope that all makes sense and can help someone else.

Hi there WestU1966,

In order to update the information for certain email accounts on your Mac, this article shows how to do this: Change preferences in Mail on Mac

The steps outlined here can help resolve what's happening as well: If you can’t send or receive email on your Mac

If this continues after deleting and adding these accounts back, please provide more details on the error messages you are seeing so that we can continue to assist.

Cheers!
